Kit options

This kit lets you measure and set camshaft timing on BMW M50, M52 and M54 engines using a dial indicator.

The fixture bolts to the valve cover mounting points above cylinder 1, keeping the indicator in position while you take measurements. It fits with the camshaft bearing caps in place.

Available options:

  • Complete kit: Camshaft timing fixture and crankshaft degree wheel.
  • Camshaft timing tool only: Fixture with 2 lifters for the tool. For use with your own degree wheel.
  • Crankshaft degree wheel only: Degree wheel for use with your existing timing fixture.

Dial indicator is not included. Engine and other equipment shown in the photos are for demonstration.
