This M54 thread insert kit is a great upgrade if you're pushing boost on a turbo build. It reinforces the block's threaded holes so they can handle higher power without pulling out or stripping—exactly what a lot of us need once you're past stock levels.
It installs right in the engine bay with basic tools. No need to remove the engine or have a machine shop install the inserts.
Important note: This kit is designed for upgrading the threads before they fail. It uses the existing block threads to secure the drill fixture, so it's not the best choice for fixing already stripped holes (though it can sometimes be made to work).
