BMW Vented Oil Cap with Dual AN10 Catch Can Ports
Vented oil cap for BMW engines.
Internal perforated ports separate oil from air to reduce oil mist in the crankcase ventilation system. Two AN10 fittings for direct catch can connection.
Available in two versions:
- Carbon fiber nylon
- 3D printed aluminium (includes extra filtration)
A red gasket is included with the package. Try the OEM gasket first. Valve covers are not all the same — if the OEM gasket sits too loose, switch to the thicker included gasket.
Installation
- Remove the AN10 fitting holder from the oil cap.
- Tighten the AN lines to the adapter.
- Reinstall the holder on the oil cap.
Warning
Do not tighten the AN lines while the adapter is screwed onto the valve cover. Doing so can crack the valve cover or damage the oil cap. The oil cap is very tight to screw on when the orings are dry, lubricate the orings before installation. After some heat cycles the orings become softer and make turning alot easier.
Verify that you have the two-prong style oil cap before ordering, some updated models of newer engines changed the oil cap design. Note that some engines will need to have plastic cover trim removed/modified in order for the cap to fit.
